Ignatius Piazza - No Longer a Physician, Takes Up a Higher Purpose
Dr. Ignatius Piazza is a respected physician and was an established chiropractor before founding Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. Years of experience in helping others, and being an aid to his fellow man preceded his founding and directing Front Sight. A love of man is the only possible inspiration one could have for entering medicine; Dr. Ignatius Piazza shows his compassion and empathy for the human race in his current endeavor, just as he showed it in his previous endeavor as a doctor of chiropractic.
Dr. Ignatius Piazza is a firm believer in the responsibility that all men are expected to have for their fellow man. When asked for his feelings on such occurrences as Littleton, Colorado and school shootings, he said, "It comes down to how many times [officials] are willing to have these tragedies occur before doing something pro-active and responsible." Dr. Piazza has realized that since politicians are doing little to nothing to handle the situations in schools, he will have to do something.
In fact, he has gone further than merely establishing a firearms training institute, he has taken measures to train employees of any school in the nation in firearms training for free. In a press release issued at Front Sight near Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A., Dr. Ignatius Piazza said, "It seems obvious that armed and trained staff members inside the school are in a better position to identify the attackers and do something immediately to resolve the situation. It is much harder for police, who arrive on the scene too late to stop the killing."
Dr. Ignatius Piazza has taken it upon himself to foot the bill for any school employee who can get to Front Sight to be trained in firearm use. Dr. Ignatius Piazza is a man who is taking responsibility for the nation into his own hands, he is tired of the atrocities we see visited upon citizens every year.
